On International Women’s Day, we want to take a moment to reflect and celebrate the women who help shape AE Business Solutions every day. It is a day to recognize achievements, acknowledge challenges, and recommit ourselves to building a workplace and an industry where everyone has the opportunity to grow, lead, and be heard.
The technology and cybersecurity industries have not always been easy spaces for women to navigate. Many have had to work harder to prove credibility, find their voice in the room, or see themselves represented in leadership. At the same time, women continue to bring resilience, perspective, empathy, and innovation that strengthen teams, relationships, and outcomes across the board.
At AE Business Solutions, the women on our team play critical roles across every part of the organization. They lead projects, build partnerships, drive strategy, support clients, and create meaningful impact both internally and externally. Today is about honoring those contributions and amplifying the stories behind them.
Below, we are sharing space for the voices of women at AEBS to reflect on their experiences in the industry. Their perspectives highlight not only where we have been, but where we are going together.
My favorite part of being Director of Service Delivery at AEBS is helping people solve problems—whether they're procedural challenges or client-related issues, I find real satisfaction in working through them together. For women starting their careers, I'd encourage you to develop your critical thinking skills early on. One of my first bosses was a dynamic individual who taught me to evaluate problems thoroughly before seeking help. His "give me your three solutions" approach transformed how I think and prepared me for leadership. What keeps me motivated and confident is knowing I have a network of sounding boards—people from all aspects of my career who I can turn to when I'm stuck on an issue. I've been fortunate that support has come from a wide range of co-workers throughout my journey. As for how companies can better support women year-round, I believe IT companies especially need to offer more growth opportunities for women outside of administrative roles. Women need active support in sales roles and managerial positions to bridge the gender gap—that's how we can create lasting change beyond a single day of recognition.

—Carrie Dawson, Director of Service Delivery
One of my favorite parts of working at AEBS is the trust we build, with our clients and with each other. I get to be curious, ask thoughtful questions, and help connect people to solutions that genuinely make their work easier and more impactful. That blend of strategy, relationships, and problem-solving is what keeps me energized. I’ve learned that confidence doesn’t come from having every answer, but from curiosity, resilience, and the support of people who believe in your growth. I’ve been fortunate to have mentors and colleagues who encouraged me to speak up, take risks, and keep going even when things felt uncomfortable. My advice to women starting their careers is to give yourself grace, stay curious, and never underestimate the value of your voice. The best way companies can support women isn’t just through moments of recognition, but by creating environments where women are consistently supported, challenged, and trusted to lead.

—Heather Walker, Account Executive
This International Women’s Day, I’m reflecting on the women who’ve shaped how I show up at AEBS and how much their support has mattered. I have learned that celebrating each other’s achievements creates momentum. Every time we publicly credit a colleague's ideas, champion someone when they aren’t in the room, or simply acknowledge another woman’s win, we build a compound effect that makes all women more visible and valued. Amplifying each other isn’t just building confidence, it’s building a foundation for growth because when all voices are considered, richer solutions and innovation are realized.

—Miranda Bucalo, HR Director
My favorite part of my role at AE Business Solutions is collaborating with our partners, who truly are the best of the best, and I love getting to strategize, plan, and execute joint marketing activities that keep my work exciting and dynamic. This role taps into my natural strengths and talents, so most days feel energizing rather than like just work, and while managing partnerships can be chaotic at times, that is exactly the kind of environment where I thrive. The biggest advice I would give to women who are just starting their careers is to advocate for yourself, because it is surprising how many people struggle to speak up on their own behalf, yet when you do it clearly and confidently it stands out as a powerful and impressive trait. I believe companies can better support women year-round by investing in strong maternity and parental leave programs that offer meaningful, accessible leave and thoughtful return to work support so women do not have to choose between advancing their careers and growing their families.

This year, International Women’s Day feels especially real for me as I am getting ready to welcome a daughter into the world. It’s made me think a lot about the kind of workplaces I want her (and all our daughters) to walk into someday. If I could give one piece of advice to women just starting their careers, it would be to ask the question. If you don’t understand, say so because pretending costs you more than asking ever will. Be honest, even when it’s uncomfortable. And when an opportunity comes your way, say yes. Say yes before you feel ready because if you hesitate too long, the ask may not come again. And lastly, never make a big career decision on your worst day. As you grow and move into leadership, be the kind of leader you wish you’d had: someone who listens, who will explain things until they actually make sense, and who’s willing to get in the boat and row along side their team. That is the kind of leader I strive to be and the kind of workplace I’m building for my daughter and future generations of women.

—Abby Roadhouse, Vice President of Finance & Administration
International Women’s Day is not just a celebration. It is a reminder that progress is ongoing. Supporting women in the workplace means continuing to listen, learn, advocate, and create opportunities for growth and leadership.
To all the women at AE Business Solutions: thank you for your impact, your ideas, your dedication, and your willingness to pave the way for others. Your contributions matter today and every day.
Happy International Women’s Day!
